Who is roamcouch??
Born in Anpachicho, Gifu, roamcouch began his career as a street artist in 2011. His beautiful and romantic artworks are created using more than fifty layers of hand-cut stencils and have been presented at solo and group exhibitions, both domestically and internationally.
His detailed and rich paintings redefined the stereotypical image of stencil art. In 2014,
he held his first solo show in New York City and sold out his entire collection.
Since then, he has been active in Japan and overseas.
岐阜県安八町生まれ。
2011年からアーティスト活動を開始。
五十版を超える手切りのステンシル(型紙)から構成される、
美しくロマンチックな作品群を国内外の個展/グループ展で発表。
ステンシルアートの既成概念を再定義した。
2014年、ニューヨークで開催された初個展ではソールドアウトを記録。
その後は国内外で幅広く活躍している。
About Original Art
There are two different types of roamcouch's artworks for this collaboration with GUACAMOLE.
These pieces were painted originally on walls;
they are landscape paintings rarely seen in roamcouchstreet-art.
今回、GUACAMOLEのキャンバスに載せたARTは2種類。
元々は壁画用の作品で、 roamcouchが得意とするストリートアート・ポップアートではこれまで風景画を壁画に落とし込む事は希少。
