広島銀行とメットライフ生命による共同社会貢献プログラム第20期寄付金の贈呈について

CSR（企業の社会的責任）の一環として、平成19年7月から株式会社広島銀行（代表取締役頭取：池田晃治、以下 広島銀行）と、メットライフ生命保険株式会社（代表執行役 会長 社長：サシン・N・シャー、以下 メットライフ生命）が共同で取り組んでいる「社会貢献プログラム」の第20期の寄付金を、下記のとおり贈呈いたしましたので、お知らせします。

1． 第20期（平成28年10月〜平成29年3月）寄付金の贈呈について
(1) 贈呈者 広島銀行、メットライフ生命
(2) 贈呈先
・公益財団法人ひろしまこども夢財団
・広島県内の社会福祉法人として組織化されている児童養護施設（12施設）
・広島県内の社会福祉法人として組織化されている乳児院（2施設）
(3) 金額 1,434,000円（広島銀行717,000円、メットライフ生命717,000円）
(4) その他 社会福祉法人広島修道院を訪問し、公益財団法人ひろしまこども夢財団に目録を贈呈いたしました。
2． 「共同社会貢献プログラム」について
(1) 目的
広島銀行とメットライフ生命は、次世代を担う子どもたちが平等な教育・社会参加ができ、健やかに生まれ育つ環境をつくるための社会貢献活動にそれぞれが取り組んでおり、本取組みは、その一環として、公益財団法人ひろしまこども夢財団の行う、子育て家庭応援関連事業ならびに広島県内で活動している社会福祉法人を支援するものです。
(2) 寄付方法
広島銀行がメットライフ生命の一時払の個人年金保険および終身保険を6ヵ月間で販売した件数に2,000円を乗じた金額を、広島銀行およびメットライフ生命双方で折半し寄付しています。
(3) 第1期から第20期までの寄付金累計額
16,178,000円 （広島銀行 8,089,000円、メットライフ生命 8,089,000円）
広島銀行とメットライフ生命は、子どもたちが健やかに生まれ育つ環境づくりに今後も取り組んでまいります。

Presentation of Donations for the 20th Term
TOKYO, June 14, 2017- As part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, both Hiroshima Bank, Ltd. (“Hiroshima Bank”) and MetLife Insurance K.K. (“MetLife Japan”), are pleased to announce that donations have been made for the 20th term of the social contribution program in Hiroshima Prefectural. Details of the presentation of donations is given below.
1. Presentation of donations for the 20th term of the program (March 2017 to October 2016)
(1) Donors: Hiroshima Bank and MetLife Japan
(2) Recipient:
・Hiroshima Kodomo Yume Zaidan
・Children's institutions organized as a social welfare corporation operating within Hiroshima (12 facilities)
・Infant homes organized as a social welfare corporation operating within
Hiroshima (2 facilities)
(3) Amount: JPY 1,434,000 (Hiroshima Bank: JPY 717,000; MetLife Japan: JPY 717,000)
Representatives from both companies visited the Hiroshima Monastery and presented Hiroshima Kodomo Yume Zaidan with the donation list.
2. Summary details about the Joint Social Contribution Program
(1) Purpose: The program was initiated in July 2007. Both Hiroshima Bank and MetLife Japan focused their efforts on providing community support with a specific focus on the welfare and support for children. The initiatives supported provide equal access to education and societal participation thereby creating an environment where children can be brought up soundly. This program also assists those businesses that provide support to families raising children run by Kodomo Yume Zaidan and social welfare corporations in the Hiroshima Prefecture.
(2) Method of donation: For every MetLife Japan lump-sum individual annuity insurance and whole life insurance policy sold by Hiroshima Bank within a given six-month period, a JPY 2,000 donation is made by both companies.
(3) Accumulative amount of donations from the 1st term to the 20th term: A total amount of
JPY 16,178,000 has been donated (Hiroshima Bank: JPY 8,089,000; MetLife Japan: JPY 8,089,000).
Hiroshima Bank and MetLife Japan remain committed in supporting communities that foster a positive environment to raise, education and support children.
